Admissions

The Compass Academy is an Alternative Provision Academy. We cater for pupils aged 11-14 years. Pupils can be referred to our setting from:

• Secondary FAP meetings

This is a meeting where representatives from all the secondary schools in the LA find the most suitable provision for pupils for various reasons, including pupils that have been permanently excluded from their main stream setting and who are currently failing to engage in their educational provision.

• Private Arrangements

If the provision at The Compass Academy suits the individual’s needs, a private arrangement can be agreed.

• Enquiries made through the Local Authority SEN Department for an Alternative Provision

In addition to these formal methods of referral, other establishments & families themselves are welcome to contact the academy for further information or advice.
