The Government has announced that it will not publish any school or college level educational performance data based on tests, assessments or exams for 2020, due to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
As part of steps taken to fight the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Government announced that all exams that were due to take place in schools and colleges in England in summer 2020 would be cancelled and that it will not publish any school or college level educational performance data based on tests, assessments or exams for 2020. The DfE’s priority was to work with awarding organisations and Ofqual to ensure that students who were due to take exams in summer 2020 were awarded grades that were as fair as possible so they could move on as planned to the next stage of their lives.

School, college or MAT level performance data
School, college or multi-academy trust (MAT) level performance data based on summer 2020 tests, assessments and exams at any phase will not be published.
School, college or MAT level accountability measures, such as Progress 8 and level 3 value added, using the summer 2020 data will not be published or shared.
DfE performance tables that were due to be released in October and December 2020, and in January and March 2021, will not go ahead.
Institution-level qualification achievement rates will not be published in the national achievement rate tables for the 2019 to 2020 academic year.
In August 2019 our students celebrated their results.
George Pindar Principal, Mrs Lesley Welsh, said “Our curriculum is specifically designed to support students in making progress towards their next steps in further education and training. This year we have seen incredible success in vocational subjects such as Hair and Beauty, Food and Cookery and Childcare and a number of students are going on to take further qualifications in these areas. We are also delighted with our students’ performance in Art, Music and Sport.
“At George Pindar we are really proud to support the development of the whole child, and it is heartening to see the progress some of our students have made in their time with us.”
The school has seen some very strong individual performances with several students achieving grade 9s but they are keen to stress that pupils of all abilities have worked hard and achieved great results.
Amy-Lou Forrester achieved a raft of high scores including an outstanding grade 9 in Maths and Hannah Harker also achieved an excellent set of results including a grade 9 in Art & Design.
Mrs Welsh adds “We wish all our students all the very best in their futures and hope that they will look back fondly on their time with us and continue to be Proud to be Pindar!”
